Dr. Kornstein prefers to perform his procedures in The Museum Mile Surgery Center, his own state-of-the-art facility. His surgical suite, conveniently located within the office complex, provides a safe, private and comfortable alternative to a conventional hospital setting. It is one of the first surgical facilities approved by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities in Manhattan (AAAASF,) and has been operating since 1997. Dr. Kornstein also is affiliated with two of New York’s most prestigious medical centers.
The team Dr. Kornstein has surrounded himself with includes highly trained medical and administrative professionals to assist him. His OR team of experienced anesthesiologists, surgical assistant and nurses have been with him for over a decade to ensure each patient receives a superlative and consistent level of care. Private duty nurses are available to provide post-operative care for patients at home or at nearby hotel accommodations.

Background
Andrew Nelson Kornstein, M.D., F.A.C.S. is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and The Rhinoplasty Society.
Dr. Kornstein graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in Biochemical Genetics and a Distinction in Biology award. He obtained his M.D. and completed a N.I.H. fellowship in nuclear medicine and clinical cardiology at Cornell University Medical College. His residency programs in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery as well as a fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery were completed at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
Dr. Kornstein serves as an attending physician at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also serves as an Associate Adjunct Surgeon at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary’s Department of General Plastic Surgery. He is intimately involved with many medical companies on the cutting edge of plastic surgery, including Allergan(Botox® , Juvederm® and Natrelle® breast implants);Medicis(Dysport® and Restylane®);. A-Cell (Matristem® stem cells) and Ulthera® .
He lectures on fat grafting, injectables and secondary rhinoplasty and has published on a number of plastic surgery topics. Dr. Kornstein holds medical licenses in New York, California, Florida and Connecticut.
