Until last year, Dr. Kornstein’s private plastic surgery practice has had only one home in the heart of Manhattan on Fifth Avenue. Over that time a close association developed with patients of southern Connecticut. Those patients would typically drop their children at school, come into Manhattan for a consultation, noninvasive procedure or post operative appointment and return in time to collect their children. As more patients migrated to the suburbs to escape the city, the trip back into the city became time prohibitive. Dr. Kornstein began to hear the same message repeated often—patients were finding it progressively more difficult to get in and out of the city. They wanted services where they lived, but were hesitant to give up the expertise they found on Fifth Avenue. “I never planned to have an office in Connecticut, but as fate would have it I fell in love with a home and neighborhood in Fairfield. In addition to giving my family and me a better quality of life, it allowed me to fulfill the request of many loyal patients to make an office in Connecticut a reality.”
