Rhinoplasty, more commonly known as nose reshaping – is one of the most complex and challenging procedures in plastic surgery. There are several reasons you must be sure you are consulting with a specialist:
- Nose reshaping requires an intricate knowledge of both anatomy and function of the nose. This demands consistently exceptional techniques that are not in the repertoire of all plastic surgeons.
- Revisions to primary or even secondary rhinoplasty are higher than any other cosmetic procedure.
- A “One size fits all” approach is an issue that can be avoided by choosing a surgeon with a keen aesthetic sense and ability to harmonize your new nose with other facial features to enhance your total look.
- Dr. Kornstein is a super specialist in terms of form, function and renown for delivering natural outcomes. In fact, he is often referred the most challenging cases by his peers and has the distinction of being the surgeon of choice when a revision is necessary.

Janice, a board certified aesthetician helps others look their best on a daily basis. Looking in the mirror and then going through family photographs, it was evident Janice’s father gave her an early inheritance—her nose. “It was always on my mind. Over time I could see the progression of my father’s nose as he aged. A bit bulbous and long with a pronounced tip …it was fine on him but being in my 40’s I knew I needed to prevent the inevitable from taking hold of my appearance.” Janice was definitive about changing her nose, but not her appearance. Her biggest concern was getting a tiny pinched nose that would alter her face. Her sister in law stepped in and recommended she see Dr. Kornstein. “I knew when she told me he was a specialist in rhinoplasty that meant less chance of having to have a revision. She said he was very conservative in his approach and that was what I wanted to hear.” Janice wasn’t disappointed. At the consultation Dr. Kornstein walked her through dozens of photographs. She felt immediately comfortable and scheduled surgery soon after. “Although I was confident in Dr. Kornstein I was very anxious about the recovery. I am a big time bruiser. So my biggest surprise was no pain, little swelling and very little bruising. I wore the tape for 5 days and that was it.
Janice loves her new nose and would do in all over again—except sooner. “The before and after is a huge difference to me, but no one has ever commented that my nose looked “done.” It is totally natural, aesthetically beautiful.”
Janice’s patients often seek her advice on enhancing their appearance and she has referred many of them to Dr. Kornstein. “He is incredibly honest. He won’t give you what you want if it is not your best option. He can look at you and tell you exactly what will make the biggest difference. He is amazing at delivering results that are never overdone. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for any cosmetic procedure.”
